DraftKings Main Slate for Week 9 - Defense/Special Teams (DST)

The #Saints' Defense has been quiet, scoring 5 points or fewer in four of the last five games. They have a solid history against the #Panthers, scoring 14 points in Week 1 of this season and 21 & 7 last season. While the opponents against the #Panthers aren't the free square they started as this season, they allowed 11+ points in four games, including two out of three when Bryce Young was the starter. #Saints

Opponents against the #Cowboys isn't usually a pursuit, but Dallas has allowed 6+ points in the last three games, including 11 (PIT) and 18 (DET). While the #Falcons aren't appealing, scoring 6 points or fewer in the last four weeks, they did make a splash of 17 points in Week 4 against the #Saints. Sometimes, you just have to roll with it, especially with defenses. #Falcons

There isn't a significant amount of data to support the #Eagles' Defense against the #Jaguars, but with Jacksonville's injuries, this game can land lopsided. The price is fair enough if you're stuck in the middle, and the #Eagles have found 6+ points in the last three weeks, including 15 points against the #Giants. #Eagles

The #Bengals aren't much of a defense most years, but they have scored 8 (NYG) & 15 (CLE) points in two of the last three weeks, with -4 as their outlier against the #Eagles last week. The #Raiders finally limited a defense to 8 points last week but allowed 11+ in the four weeks prior. They are a little pricey to chase, but they should land well toward their 14-point mark if you can get them. #Bengals

The #Titans have scored 0 points in the last two weeks and 3 points or fewer in four of the last five weeks. They are priced a little high with that consideration, but the #Patriots have allowed 6+ points since Week 2, except for last week against the #Jets (2). Across that span, they've allowed 9+ in four games, including 12 (HOU), 16 (NYJ), and 22 (SF). It should be a low-scoring game. #Titans

Usually, the chase is for opponents against the #Panthers (deservedly so), but the #Saints have many offensive injuries, including the line. While Carr should limit some of the damage, the #Saints have allowed 7+ points since Week 3, including 17 (ATL, TB) and 20 (DEN). While the #Panthers aren't ideal, scoring 5 points or fewer over the last five weeks, they landed last week with that high (DEN). If I love the build and this is where it lands...I'll take it. #Panthers

The #Commanders have landed some decent output for the right matchups, scoring 13 (CLE) and 16 (CAR) points in two of the last four weeks. Their history landed with 9 points in both games last season, but only 4 points this season in Week 2. The #Giants have been giving, allowing 10+ in three of the previous four games to SEA (10), PHI (15), and PIT(15), with CIN being the outlier but still producing 8 points. Solid play. #Commanders

While the #Patriots' Defense hasn't scored more than 1 point in the last three weeks, the #Titans have allowed 16 and 11 points in the previous two weeks. While they limited the #Dolphins and #Colts to 2 and 3 points in Weeks 4 and 6, they've allowed 11+ points the rest of the way. We'll need a splash play, like any defense, but the #Patriots aren't a bad place to land if you're stuck in the middle. #Patriots
