DraftKings Main Slate for Week 10 - Quarterback (QB)

The matchup against the #Cardinals is lackluster, with QBs scoring 17 points or fewer in the last three weeks, including 14 & 9 points from Tua Tagovailoa & Caleb Williams. With that consideration, Aaron Rodgers finally has a floor, delivering 15+ in the last four weeks, including 20 points last week. His price is in line for the "riskier" matchup, needing a mark of 22 points. #Packers

I lucked out with the #Colts and #Vikings landing on Sunday Night Football because Joe Flacco seemed like a safe play. He has scored 14 points or fewer in the last two games after scoring 15 and 30 points in the previous two games. His 30-point splash was against the #Jaguars, which presents more of the trend to chase Darnold than it does to promote Flacco. Obviously, Flacco arrives with risk toward his 22-point mark, but the #Bills offense should provide enough to give him a shot toward that production. The defense is playing well, allowing 18 points or fewer in the last four weeks. Due to the price, he's in play, but more of a dart we're chasing from his magic last year. #Colts

Patrick Mahomes has a true WR to park next to Kelce, which realigns this offense, especially the secondary weapons. While warranted to his production this season, he's still priced reasonably with a 26-point mark. He peaked with 24 points last week and has scored 17+ in three of the previous four games. Outside of his last game against Denver (8 points in Week 8 of 2023), he's maintained a floor of 21+ since the last week of 2021. As previously offered in last week's breakdown, the #Broncos' defense was at a crossroads due to their lesser matchups to start the year. While the #Ravens won't be the full encompassment of what Denver is, due to their elite offense, it showed you the #Broncos' defense may not be the elite defense their numbers were promoting. Are they a sound defense? Yes. But are we trusting their production to start the year? No. Follow the trend, as the #Broncos allowed 15 points to Bryce Young two weeks ago and 23 points to Lamar Jackson. That should continue. #Chiefs

Josh Allen has scored 20-24 points in his last four games. While these are solid numbers, they likely fall short of his price tag, which is the only dilemma against the Colts. Oddly, the Colts have not been better with Flacco. While we may not expect wins, we expect production, which hasn't come for Indy, whoever is under center. The #Colts allowed 18+ in the first four of five weeks to start the season but then limited poor-performing offenses to 13 points or fewer in Weeks 6-8 (TEN, MIA (injuries), & HOU (injuries)). The #Vikings continued the earlier trend with Darnold scoring 22 points, which was capped by the #Colts' lack of competition. You'll need help there for Allen's 30-point mark. #Bills

By the numbers, Sam Darnold lands the best matchup against the #Jaguars, who have provided a 26-point floor going back to Week 3 (excluding vs. the #Packers in Week 8 (Jordan Love was injured in the game)). Darnold's price is looking for 24 points, which he hasn't scored in the last five weeks, but he has maintained a 17-point floor in four of the last five games—solid play to build around. #Vikings

Bo Nix is teetering on the price increase of consideration at 6k and a 24-point mark. His production warrants the increase, as he's landed 18+ in four of the last five weeks. For any price below 6k, the matchup doesn't impact the decision as much, whether the production arrives competitively or in garbage time. While the #Chiefs' defense is sound, they've allowed 15+ in the last three weeks, including 15 points from Gardner Minshew and 18 points from Baker Mayfield, with a depleted receiving core. Fair play. #Broncos

Trevor Lawrence has a floor of 15+ in the last five weeks and 21+ in three games. The #Jaguars are almost always guaranteed garbage time. The challenge with Lawrence's measly 21-point mark is the injuries on the offensive side of the ball and the #Vikings' Defense. While they provided 18+ points to Goff, Stafford, and Love, they limited Rodgers and Flacco to 14 and 5 points. I'd lean toward the upside, but there are risks here. #Jaguars

The Patriots may not allow explosions against quarterbacks, but they have provided a 15-point floor in every game since Week 2, except for Tyler Huntley, who scored 7 points. While a ceiling may not arrive, Caleb Williams is priced for a 22-point mark, which puts him in consideration. His 11 points or fewer in three of his last five games limit any comfort, but he had splashes of 26 and 29 against the #Panthers and #Jaguars. He'll be tough to roll with in a single entry, but I like the play for a multi-entry tournament. #Bears

Kyler Murray has scored 21+ in three of the last five weeks, with 12 and 5 points being his outliers. The problem with Murray is his lack of a floor, as he seems to land boom or bust. He creates a great play to win a tournament and lands where you may not get your entry fees returned. He faces the #Jets, who have a similar rollercoaster of production, limiting QBs to 13 points or fewer all season except for two games. The reason for his promotion was that in those two games, Russell Wilson and Josh Allen scored 24 points. He aligns very similarly to their style of play, which lands him as a solid dart. #Cardinals

Jayden Daniels is priced for a 30-point mark against the Steelers, who have allowed 22 points once this season, 15 points twice, and 10 points or fewer the rest of the way. While some lackluster opponents coincide with that production, it's not a great matchup. The appeal is Daniels's production alone of 19+ points in four of the last five weeks, which only arrives with a 25-point ceiling. With Brian Robinson out, his rushing yards should get a bump. He seems sneaky this week. #Commanders

Purdy is never the exciting play, but he primarily gets the job done. He's scored 20+ in the last three games, and the #Buccaneers allowed 24+ in four of the last five games, including 35+ twice. The outlier is Spencer Rattler, but with a sound 14 points. CMC looks to return, and Deebo is questionable, so keep an eye on the injury report as Purdy gets a bump toward his 26-point mark with both going. #49ers

Justin Herbert presents maliciously underpriced at 5.2k and a 20-point mark against the #Titans. He's scored 17+ in the last three weeks, with a ceiling of 24 points. Even with their lackluster offense, the #Titans seem to keep games competitive, allowing 14+ points in the last four weeks. While the ceiling is only 24 points in those four games, and you may not get an explosion, Herbert is a great price to build around. #Chargers

Russell Wilson scored 24 and 14 points to start his debut with the Steelers. His mark of 23 points seems reachable, but the Commanders have significant...and confusing production against them. Oddly, Daniel Jones has 18 and 25 points against the Commanders, which would promote a green light, but Caleb Williams, Andy Dalton, Deshaun Watson, and Kyler Murray scored 10, 2, 9, and 9 points, respectively. Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Baker Mayfield scored 22 - 29 points. This game can land many ways because we have solid teams, which could land a little more of a defensive struggle than hoped. I like the price and play, but it's not a layup. #Steelers
